Revolutionizing Access to Water in Cold Climates

DISCOVER HOW WE ARE REDEFINING ACCESS TO WATER IN COLDER CLIMATES
At Beaufort Innovations, we are dedicated to providing safe and convenient access to water when it is most needed. Founded by two friends with extensive experience living in the Canadian Arctic, our innovative product allows the retrieval of water from frozen lakes all winter long, without the need to drill holes every time.

THE ICE PIPE
The Ice Pipe is a device that when frozen into the ice keeps the level of water inside the pipe below the bottom surface of the ice, where temperatures remain above freezing. It allows you to draw water through it without cutting a new hole each time. Made out of a plastic/polymer material, it provides safe access to water without the need to use sharp spinning blades to create a new hole each time access to water is needed.

HOW IT WORKS
It keeps the level of water inside the pipe below the bottom surface of the ice where temperatures remain above freezing.

WHAT IT DOES
Provides safe access to water below the surface of ice covered lakes and rivers without the need for high speed spinning sharp blades beneath a gas powered or electric ice auger to physically cut through the ice each time access to water is necessary.

WHO IT'S FOR
A device used by anyone who needs access to water through winter months including those living off grid, weekend cabin goers, the winter road construction industry, scientific monitoring industry or in any application where repetitive water access from below ice is necessary.
MEET THE FOUNDERS
TWO FRIENDS WITH EXTENSIVE COMBINED KNOWLEDGE IN BUSINESS AND IN LIVING IN THE CANADIAN ARCTIC. MARIO AND CONRAD ARE INVESTED IN MAKING LIVES EASIER FOR PEOPLE WHO NEED SIMPLICITY AND EASE IN THE COLDER CLIMATES AND HARSH WINTERS.

Mario Lemieux
Raised in Inuvik, Northwest Territories, Mario recently retired from his company, Rocky's Plumbing and Heating which has served his community for decades. He is well versed in the hardships the harsh winters can bring for people working and living in colder climates. He is always looking for ways to innovate and make things simpler for others.
Mario and his family often go to their off-grid cabin where accessing water can be a difficult task in the winter, and has made the Ice Pipe a passion project to help more people like himself who need safe and easy access to water.

Conrad Baetz
Born and raised in the Northwest Territories, Conrad's career comprised almost entirely on land and wildlife protection and conservation, much of his time was spent working in the field in extreme weather conditions. It became second nature to be on the lookout for more efficient and better ways to carry out the work that needed to be done.
Now, living off-grid outside Yellowknife, NT, one of Conrad’s focuses has turned to bringing the Ice Pipe into reality to make accessing water during winter months a more efficient, safer and reliable task.
